It’s finally here! The in-house brewery at Burnley is being hooked up as we speak. They’re big, shiny and brew-tiful. Say g’day to our 5-hectolitre brewery system, including 8 brite tanks and 4 fermenters.
The installation of our brite tanks means we’re able to pour even more beers across our taps and gives you guys the chance to interact with our brewers whilst in action. Oh, you can also drink fresh from the tanks, pretty cool huh.
When our in-house system is fully up and running we’ll be able to release new beers more often, starting with our American Indian Amber Ale ‘The Malternative Hoption’. This creation is the love child of our awesome guests at the Melbourne Food and Wine Fest event ‘Burnley Brewing Beerocracy’.
We’re not even sure if an American Indian Amber Ale is a thing, but we do know it’s about to become one. We’ll be using caramel malts to bring out those toasty flavours and as for the hops; have you ever wanted to drag your tongue across a forest floor covered in pine needles? This beer will be your friend.
Join us on the pursuit of hoppinesss and keep an eye out for our first brew day, it’s right around the corner.
We’re so pumped to tell you all that Burnley Brewing will be participating in this years Bridge Road Gathering After Dark.
We’ll be teaming up with some of our neighbours for a night of beer drinking and culinary discovery. When the sun goes down over Bridge Road you’ll be introduced to our rich and diverse food and drink scene.
Obviously there are many different tours you can attend, but we do recommend the Sip, Savour, Salsa. Oh look, we just so happen to be the first stop on this journey, coincidence?
You’ll start at the river end of Bridge Road with us at Burnley Brewing and boy will be happy to see you. We’ll teach you a little about craft brewing and give you plenty of tasters of our craft beers to start your night off right before you got to see our friends at Amora Riverwalk Hotel, Bouzy Rouge and Niche on Bridge.
Taking place on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd May, 2018, there are two hosted tours each evening; one starting at 6.30pm the next at 7.30pm. If this sounds right up your street, tickets are on sale now at https://bridgeroadgathering.com.au/
So come check out the place we call home, explore the neighbourhood and we’ll see you after dark.
Now we know that EVERY week is a good beer week, but this is THE Good Beer Week…
