Over in North America, the Super Bowl is a lazy Sunday activity. But here in Oz, it takes place on a Monday morning.
If you’re lucky enough to have the morn off and want to spend it watching the big game, there’s no better place to do it than at Burnley Brewing.
We’re gonna party just like the Americans do, with nachos and chicken wings, a live screening of the game across two tv’s, and plenty of beers to go round.
We’re even opening early for the event and offering a banging deal for anyone who joins us – $50 will get you unlimited nachos, wings and schooners of our signature pale ale from 9am til noon.
(Don’t worry vegetarians or vegans, we have options available for you as well as the gluten-free eaters amongst us.) Cheers!
From now until mid-week next week (or until we run out), the Burnley Brewing kitchen will be offering two delectable chicken specials – One inspired by the Carribean and the other taking cues from Southern American cuisine.
Number one (on the left) is a Jamaican jerk chicken served on a bed of coconut rice and topped with house-made pineapple salsa. This tropical meal plus a pint of Summer Ale are just what the weather calls for on days as hot as the ones we’ve been having.
Our second special (on the right) revolves around fried chicken, dredged in Cajun spice and cooked until it develops a perfectly crispy outer coating. It’s served atop a slaw-like salad featuring lettuce and red pepper, as well as a cob of corn slathered in cream. With the Super Bowl coming up on February 4, this dish will help get you in the American spirit.
We’re planning to offer both dishes until Wednesday. If you’d like to give them a try, be sure to book a table in the days to come. Cheers!
Dust off that old Hawaiin shirt you wore to a Uni party once because it’s about to come in handy once more. This Sunday the 27th, in honour of Triple J’s Hottest 100 countdown, we’ll be offering big beers at small beer prices for anyone who comes in donning a festive floral button-down.
That means just $4 a pop for a glass of house-brewed Burnley beers or natural wine, all day long. And so that you don’t have to drink in silence, we’ll also be playing the top tracks of the last year from open til close.
It’s gonna be a hot one this Sunday, so to help you cool off, we’re supplying boozy slushies made from our sweet and tart Berliner Weisse as well as our house cider. We’re also launching a new menu of craft cocktails that we’re pretty proud of. We’re confident you’ll enjoy them too.
Of course, all food items will be available as usual to satiate any hunger pangs throughout the day. We can’t wait to see you there.
