Floor Manager and Hospitality Host

Job Type: Full-Time (30-38 hours per week) | Part-Time for the right candidate

Reports to: Hospitality Manager

Works Alongside: Hospitality Manager, Front of House & Back of House teams

Key Selection Criteria:
Are you passionate about hosting, dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, and eager to take on a pivotal role in managing the bustling floor of our Richmond taproom? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking an Assistant Venue Manager with a strong focus on floor management and hosting, someone who will infuse our pub with warmth and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Floor Management: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the venue, with a particular emphasis on seamless service. Ensure that all staff are well-coordinated, and service is efficient.
  • Host and Welcome: Act as the face of Burnley Brewing, personally welcoming and hosting guests, ensuring they have an exceptional experience from the moment they walk in.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with patrons, address their needs and concerns, and create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Staff Leadership: Lead and inspire the front-of-house team, setting high standards for service excellence and fostering a positive working environment.
  • Event Coordination: Play a key role in the coordination of events and community gatherings on the floor, ensuring that these events are executed flawlessly.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the venue operates in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry, a specific focus on floor management and hosting ideal.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to make guests feel welcome.
  • A passion for delivering warm and genuine customer service.
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • An understanding of beer is a plus, but not necessary.
